With that bright red sunrise this morning, looks rain is coming. I’m thinking this would be a good day to do a succession planting of kale, for a nice fall harvest.
While I may plant corn or kale or whatever, what I’m really cultivating is soil life. Soil life is the foundation of a garden ecosystem. Soil organisms are the foundation of all terrestrial life on earth.
Photosynthesis extracts random Carbon from the atmosphere,….soil organisms integrate that Carbon within life’s complex matrix, facilitating more photosynthesis, more Carbon extraction, more Soil Life, and on and on…Producing The richness of Fecundity. Soil Life, given the opportunity, will always trend to Biodiversity and Abundance below, in and above ground cover.
In BioRegenerative gardens randomized atmospheric Carbon is structured and ordered into a growing, complex, living matrix. So, with BioRestoritive gardening systems, while producing food, gardeners are also Biosequestering Carbon.
Carbon content is an indicator of soil fertility. The greater the Soil Carbon content the greater the Fertility. Earth’s Fertility yields abundance. Biological Abundance is wealth, for organisms living on Earth. Declines of Fertility spell hard times for the generations living in declining Biomes.
It is humans’ disruption of Earth’s Carbon Cycle (CC) that is driving weather, climate and biological systems into chaos and decline. The fossil fuel industry, by pumping into the Biosphere Carbon that was bio-sequestered in the cretaceous or before, is acting as volcanic forcing. The magnitude of the volcanic plume of randomly dispersing, previously Biosequestered Carbon, that the global oil/military/industrial/market mental complex, is chaotically dumping, is overwhelming Earth’s Life Support Systems. Simultaneously, agricultural and forestry practices that destroy Soil’s complex Carbon net, and a built environment of pavement and monoculture, and human made desertification are reducing Biosequestration. It is the combination of these human practices that has disrupted Earth’s CC.
Growing healthy soil, facilitating its development of expanding living Carbon exchange arrays that remove and structure random atmospheric Carbon, is a much more healthy, wealth generating, human relationship with Earth’s Carbon Cycle, than massive dumps of chaotic Carbon and Barren landscapes. Yet it is CC disrupting technologies, practices and infrastructure that the really big players in business, finance and government are investing in and developing. By disrupting our CC, it is Fossil Money’s engineered Chaotic Dumps to the Biosphere, and industrial scale destruction of Soil that is trending Global Warming, Poisoned Water, Refugees, Mass Extinction, ect.
Bottom line is that the wealth and abundance of a healthy Biosphere just isn’t in the timeline the Nobs of the corporate-states are funding, promoting and fabricating. It is these tycoonocrats’ Mordorian ways and means that are trending Earth’s Life Support Systems and Humanity’s Social Cohesion to chaos and collapse.
Here in the Garden the corn is just about to tassel, tomatoes are setting, echinacea is flowering and it’s time to grab a pitch fork and turn the compost.
